Communicable Diseases

Florence Nightingale once believed in the impact of the environment and the nurse on improvement of the client’s condition. In this course, we will look at one of the building blocks of our practice: maintaining a clean environment and promoting infection control measures.

We will also look at what happens when our measures fail and our patients contract infection. We will look at various infectious diseases, their mode of transmission, symptoms, treatment, and the associated nursing management.
