Welcome to the Learning Portal

We would like to officially welcome you to the learning portal blog, where we will be posting updates about the site, including new courses, lessons, and topics that we have uploaded on a weekly basis.

As you may have noticed, this is still a portal in progress, and we continue to upload new content to ensure that you have as complete an experience as possible before your board exams. Remember, though, that this is an adjunct to your wonderful lectures at St. Louis Review Centre. As much as we believe in the power of interactive online learning, there is nothing quite like a good lecture (and lecturer!) to get those learning juices going.

Lucky for you, as an SLRC student, you have both.

Here’s a rundown of some of the things we have added to the portal this week:

  • New Lessons on the Medical-Surgical Course

We have added disorders of the GI and renal system to the medical-surgical course, more systems to be added soon!

  • New Lesson on the Pharmacology Course

Drugs for hypertension is now live on the pharmacology course.

  • New Courses

If you haven’t done so already, check out the new and improved Maternity course, the Professional Adjustment course, and the popularly requested Test-Taking Strategy course.

What other things can you expect?

We will try and update this blog regularly with some words of encouragement and top tips from previous passers and topnotchers to let you know that you are not alone in this journey. Others have come before you and we are waiting on the other side to welcome you into the world of professional nursing.

We also believe in a little healthy competition as fuel and motivation to study harder, so expect leaderboards to be published on some of our more popular exams, and we sure hope we see most of your names on the top ten!

In the meantime, do give us feedback about what other things you would love to see on the website.

Good luck, students!

Yours,

The SLRC Learning Portal Team.
